چکیده

Objective: Various glide path preparation techniques have been introduced, providing easiness to the practitioners.Recent literature has shown that influences levels of postoperative pain occurrencein individuals receiving endodontic therapy. This systematic review aims compare different pathpreparation system in reduction pain. Material and Methods: Electronic databases such asPubMed, Scopus, Cochrane Library, LILACS, Google Scholar, European PMC were searched for publishedarticles until July 2020. The studies included randomized control trial (RCT) published during thistime frame with comparison continuous various other systems reducingpostoperative reviewed using Preferred Reporting Items Systematic reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. independently by two reviewers who had assessedthe studies, extracted data quality risk bias assessment tool. Results:544 received from initial search, 11 articles full text appraisal, 4 studieswere obtained qualitative analysis. Mean VAS Scores showed an increased painin treated (1.90-0.20) compared reciprocating (2.00-0.50) andmanual (3.80-0.85). consumptions analgesics seen be as follows; Manual Glide Path> Reciprocating Path > Continuous Path. Three out four overall “high” riskof another study “unclear” bias. Conclusion: From achieved results, continuousglide 5.25% NaOCl irrigation better otherglide systems. Individuals undergone manual higher incidence ofpostoperative consumption was manualglide prepared followed least being path.KEYWORDSAnalgesics; Endodontics; Pain; Root canal preparation; Sodium hypochlorite.

Postoperative pain after manual and mechanical glide path: a randomized clinical trial.

INTRODUCTION This prospective randomized clinical trial evaluated the incidence of postoperative pain after glide path performed with PathFile (PF) (Dentsply Maillefer, Ballaigues, Switzerland) versus stainless-steel K-file (KF). METHODS In 149 subjects, the mechanical glide path was performed with nickel-titanium (NiTi) rotary PF; in 146 subjects, the manual glide path was performed with sta...

An In Vitro Comparison of Root Canal Transportation by Reciproc File With and Without Glide Path

OBJECTIVE The aim of ideal canal preparation is to prevent iatrogenic aberrations such as transportation. The aim of this study was to evaluate the root canal transportation by Reciproc file with and without glide path. MATERIALS AND METHODS Thirty acrylic-resin blocks with a curvature of 60° and size#10 (2% taper) were assigned into two groups (n= 15). In group 1, the glide path was performe...

Canal anatomy modifications by using path files, glide path instruments analysed by Cone Beam Computed Tomography

The aim of this study was to describe canal anatomy modifications by Path Files (PF) using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) in mandibular first molars. A total of 100 mesiobuccal (MB) root canals of mandibular first molars were prepared with PF. CBCT was used to scan the specimens before and after instrumentation. The root canal curvature, centric ability, apical transportation, root canal ...
